Mijanka


The Mijanka cargo berth of Police Seaport, Police, Western Pomerania, Poland.
A quay with a length of 200 m and an operational depth of 8.4 m designated for handling liquid products and equipped with two handling points with a capacity of: ammonia - 300 t / hour; sulphuric acid - 350 t / hour. The Mijanka berth can serve ships with a length of up to 140 m.

Tree with breathing roots


No, seriously: that tree has breathable roots named cypress knee (pneumatophors). It's a bald cypress (cypryśnik błotny / Taxodium distichum) - very interesting tree that grows in the Jagiellonian University Botanical Garden in Cracow, Poland.
That garden is really fascinating place - for example pond, which you can see in the picture, is a remnant of the old riverbed of the largest Polish river - Vistula. For over 100 years Vistula flows ca. 2 km away :)
