  9. I remember fungi similar to these in the woods near my grandmother's house in southwestern British Columbia. The woods have, long ago, been cut down and there are many houses in their place, and "my fungus" disappeared along with the trees.
    Your excellent photo brought back many fond memories. Thank you for that.
