  6. Subtle but effective. The shadow of man? The remains of man? The lurking man? I like pieces like this that allow for many interpretations. Just like our dreams. Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.

  7. The layers of life are all over - perhaps around 100+ years, the paint and brick add an aged character to the building while the graffiti reflects today (poorly). Cool post!

  13. In the grille above the door, I see the little cross which was obviously put there when it was made as the swirls are lower than the others. And it seems kinds strange as this looks like it was a place of business and not that of a home. Nowadays due to all the politically correctness crap that goes on, someone would claim to be offended by this and want to have it removed. So nice to see that the cross has survived for what looks like over a hundred years. May it do so for a few hundred more.

Also this door reminds me of the saying, "If these walls could talk." But this door is saying, "If only I could talk, the stories of the people who have come and gone, and the people who have treasured me and abused me, I could tell you so much." Truly an interesting door you have found.

Thank you so much for sharing this door with us for this weeks Theme Thursday, it truly holds many secrets. Hope you are having a secret filled weekend.

    God bless.
